The Steyr 12M18 is an all-terrain truck by Steyr Daimler Puch, which is used mainly in the Austrian Army to cary armored personnel and other cargo. The vehicle has permanent all-wheel drive with locking differentials on both axles and a center differential lock, which can be switched on in difficult terrain. The power is transmitted trough an 8-speed transmission with low range gearing. The 6-cylinder engine of the WD 612 series with direct injection provides a maximum of 130 kW and develops a maximum torque of 630 Nm at 1200 / min.
